Theatres & Events in Devon
From theatre performances, cinema screenings, exhibitions and one off events, Devon’s entertainment scene has something to suit every taste and budget. The performances attracts everyone from big name stars to home grown talent giving you a broad range of productions and events to choose from. Devon is full of great entertainment venues and theatres offering everything from touring West End productions, local theatre, music performances, cabaret shows, dance displays, film screenings and more!
Musicals, stand ups and more
Theatre lovers will be charmed by the full calendar of performances that take place all year around, there are theatres and performance venues in the majority of Devon’s towns and often feature a whole range of productions from comedy, musical theatre, ballet, classical concerts, hard hitting drama and talks and lectures. The range of talent is extraordinary with West End stars, local actors and well-known names all treading the boards here. You’ll even have the chance to see live National Theatre productions from the West End with many theatres screening productions as they happen.
If that wasn’t enough, you’ll also find open air theatre events at a wide variety of Devon’s top attractions throughout the summer and of course, festivals where you’ll be able to enjoy everything from comedy to theatre and music. There are even magic and carnival performances taking place in the region, so be on the look-out for events happening near you.
Cinema screenings
If you prefer to watch a screen rather than sit in a theatre, you’re in luck, cinema screenings, both open air and indoors for you to choose from. As Devon is a hive for film makers using the beautiful scenery as the backdrop to their story telling, it is no wonder that there are so many venues keen to show off these movies at every opportunity.
Music fans are also well catered for here in Devon, head to one of the festivals that take place in the summer or head to a small, intimate gig at one of the region’s performances spaces.
