What's On in Tiverton

With its range of attractions, there are plenty of events to keep you entertained in Tiverton. Some of the biggest events in the region take place in or near the town, partly because of its conveniently central location.

The Mid Devon Show takes place in July and is a celebration of life in the countryside. You’ll find an excellent array of local food and drink, as well as a livestock show, live music, family friendly entertainment, horticulture and a showcase of farm life. The show regularly picks up awards and offers non-stop entertainment all day!

Find local produce

If you want a chance to sample some of the region’s best local produce, make sure to visit the town during the farmers’ market. Taking place every week, the market offers an array of produce from nearby farms, producers and other creators, giving you the chance to stock up on fresh, seasonal food and drink and to pick up some unique products.

As well as the regular farmers’ market being a place to grab interesting, locally sourced products, it is also housed within the town’s historic Pannier Market building which has served the town for decades. The Pannier market dates back to the Victorian era and is a Grade II listed building. The building hosts several markets, including the award winning Electric Nights Street Food market, second hand markets and more.

Throughout the year, especially during the school holidays, you’ll find a host of events perfect for the whole family at the attractions nearby, particularly those managed by the National Trust. You can find out more about local events and see what is going on by visiting the Information Centre which can be found in the Tiverton Museum.
