Food & Drink in Combe Martin

Being located along the coast, Combe Martin is the ideal spot for some fish and chips on the beach, much of the seafood available at the village’s pubs and eateries is brought in fresh from the ocean each morning. Exmoor, which is right on the doorstep, is known for its Ruby Red Cattle and the quality of the local produce, which you can also find on a host of menus throughout the village.  

Where to eat in Combe Martin

The local food and drink producers regularly feature at Combe Martin’s Farmer’s market, which takes place on the third Saturday of the month at the village hall. Every summer, you can also get involved with the annual Strawberry Fayre which celebrates Combe Martin’s past as a leading producer of strawberries and takes place at the start of strawberry season.  

Like most places in Devon, the people of Combe Martin are all about sustainability and lowering their food miles, which means you’ll find lots of opportunities to try some lovely local food and drink. 

Exmoor and North Devon are known for their incredible local delicacies, particularly the seafood and fish that can be found in the area, so always eat local where you can.
