Though not as well known as nearby Tiverton or Devon’s capital, Exeter, Cullompton is home to some of the region’s most popular family attractions. Walking breaks in Cullompton
Walkers, hikers and those that love being outdoors will love visiting Cullompton. All over the town you can find footpaths, cycle tracks, bridleways and some fun, muddy lanes for you to traverse, which will lead you to various local landmarks. The Heritage Trail starts in the centre of town and is good fun for those that love learning about the environment as they explore.
Speaking of learning, Cullompton is full of pretty, historic buildings including St Andrew’s church which has a 120 ft sandstone tower. The church is also interesting because it gives an indication into the town’s importance to the wool industry – it has a wagon roof! It isn’t just the church that gives an insight into Cullompton’s past, you’ll also spot various mills, a manor house and the Old Bull Ring, all of which provide hours of interest.
