Dog Friendly Accommodation in Devon

How can you have a family holiday if you’re leaving one (or more!) members behind? There’s no need to feel guilty about leaving your four-legged friends at home, there are loads of places to stay in Devon that not only allow dogs to stay, they actively welcome them!

Enjoy space and privacy with self-catering

We've found that dog owners love going self-catering when visiting Devon.
If you’re someone who likes flexibility, having your own space, privacy and having an enclosed outdoor area, take a look at one of the many holiday cottages dotted around Devon. There are several in the county who have earned awards because of their dog-friendly provision. Many of the region's cottages, apartments and holiday homes are happy for dogs to stay, often with large, enclosed grounds, so you can get some exercise and enjoy plenty of space to play and explore. You'll even find some of them go the extra mile, providing cosy dog beds, spare leads, stairgates and even little pamper areas, so you can get as muddy as you like while out and about!

Try a dog-friendly campsite

If you're on a budget or want the chance to immerse yourself in nature, book a stay at one of the many dog-friendly campsites around the county. You'll find that many of the beachside parks in North Devon are suitable for pet owners, just be sure to check the local signage before heading out to the beach as some spots have restrictions at certain points in the year. Your accommodation providers will be able to give you up to date information of the nearest dog friendly beaches to visit.

Dog friendly hotels

Camping or self-catering isn’t for everyone and that’s fine too, Devon is home to a number of dog-friendly hotels! On Dartmoor, you'll find plenty of space and lots of places happy for your dogs to come and stay. Otherwise, there are hotels in popular tourist destinations, like those in the Torbay which even have doggy day care, so you can relax, knowing that your dog is in safe hands.

Whatever type of accommodation you’re looking for, there is something for you in Devon!
