What's On in Slapton

Being so popular with families, you’ll find a host of activities, workshops and events, particularly in the summer months. The seafront in particular becomes a hive of activity with pop up organisations appearing offering tuition and guided sessions out on the water, with paddleboards and kayaks available to lease for those that don’t have their own.

Similarly, the Field Studies Centre, which is a must for anyone who loves the natural world, has a range of educational and recreational workshops and talks throughout the year, with additional activities for the children during the summer months.

Lose yourself in nature

Aside from the beach and the nature reserve there are a whole host of activities and attractions in and around the village. In the summer, you can often spot dolphins and seals enjoying the warmer water and there are plenty of chances to catch them at various points along the South West Coast Path.

As well as the chance to go swimming and spy on the wildlife, the beach is a popular fishing spot in south Devon and you can find groups taking advantage of the water depths and the picturesque views all year around.

Both Slapton and Torcross are full of country pubs where you can often find live local music and other community activities on top of amazing menus full of delicious locally sourced food and drink.
