If your favourite activity is indulging in some retail therapy, South Devon is a great destination, not only are there traditional market towns, but also quirky ones, like Totnes and superb high street shopping. However, if you like something a little more challenging, you’ll be well accommodated too, there are a whole host of fun events and activities throughout the south Devon region to get involved with.

Adventures in south Devon can include relaxing rambles around some beautiful countryside, a great view on a steam railway or dolphin spotting in the many coves. The region’s many attractions offer events and additional activities during peak times, such as the school holidays, but whenever you are visiting the area you’ll find plenty of things to do whatever the time of year. Visiting in the summer will give you plenty of chance to explore the many outdoor activities, while in the colder months, you can visit the area’s museums, galleries, theatres and other attractions. Whether you’re into making and sampling your own gin, exploring the great outdoors, learning a new skill, taking part in a family friendly activity or going solo, you’ll find a whole host of things to do.
