What's On in Croyde
Known as Devon’s surfing capital Croyde Bay is a stunning beach with beautiful views. As a surfing mecca, you’ll find that there are plenty of activities around the beach to keep you entertained whether you’re into water sports or not.
Family friendly activities in Croyde
The sheltered bay area makes it a great family destination and having a National Trust site nearby means it is a good place for walking and taking part in trails. There are a number of restaurants, cafes and hotels in the area making it an ideal location for anyone looking for a quiet, beach holiday. After a day on the beach or enjoying the fun and games of the village’s activities, why not relax to some live music in one of the many pubs in the village or for a more unique experience, catch a film at the Deckchair Cinema.
Oceanfest
Every summer visitors to Croyde Bay can get involved with the increasingly popular Goldcoast Oceanfest event which features a full weekend of water sports, outdoor adventure activities and a whole host of live musicians complimenting the various activities. This event has grown year on year, with top names like Tom Odell and Craig David headlining in recent years. Oceanfest is a multi-award winning festival weekend and is definitely a must for music lovers, surfers and beach fans alike.
Right on the beach, over the past few years the SkyBar Croyde has dominated the second May Bank Holiday weekend. Over the past few years, the SkyBar has sold out, so it is advisable to grab your tickets when it is announced to avoid disappointment. The SkyBar experience includes a collection of DJs who get the evening going with a range of great music, while visitors can take their pick from the resident gin bar, prosecco bar, shots bar or main bar and sample some of the region’s best street food from vendors on site. Offering the best music in a great location with good food and fresh cocktails, this is one of the most popular events in Croyde’s calendar.
