A Royal celebration is on the way! With the upcoming coronation of King Charles III on Saturday 6th May, the bank holiday weekend is set to be full of events and festivities.
Join in the fun in Budleigh Salterton with a special street party on Sunday 7th May from 12:30 until 5:30PM. Taking place in the High Street, you can expect plenty of fun and excitement. Dress up in your finest and decorate your tables in a sea of red, white and blue for this momentous occasion. Tables of six cost £36 or just £6 for a seat on a mixed table with tickets available from Budleigh Information Centre.
A spokesperson for the event said: “Remember to bring along a hamper with all your goodies, or why not use one of the many takeaways available in Budleigh. Please try and buy locally to help support our wonderful traders.”
A DJ will be setting the mood throughout the day, so make sure to pop down to their setup at the Dolphin Cafe with any requests. Exmouth’s Town Crier, Roger Bourgein will also joining in with the festivities!
If you’re looking for a little extra fun, why not participate in the Raffle? At £1 a strip, be in with a chance of winning fantastic prizes with the prize draw kicking off at 3PM. Budleigh’s Mayor, Michael Hillier has agreed to draw the first few winners.
