Imagine being unable to feel the sand, playing on the beach and swimming in the sea. That is the reality for many children, young people and adults, this has inspired the Chit Rocks Beach Ramp' project - which aims to make Sidmouth Beach completely accessible.
Created by a group of local residents and supported by Sidmouth Coastal Community Hub CIC, Chit Rocks Beach Ramp project is undertaking fundraising for the construction of a permanent ramp leading down to the beach, which will help make the town more accessible.
The construction has been costed at 250k and funding is being raised in a number of different ways including donations and grants. Find out more and donate via the link below.
