Miles without Stiles

Dartmoor National Park is committed to being open to all, no matter what their ability. Across the moor, you'll find routes that have been created as part of the Miles Without Stiles campaign.

Miles Without Stiles are stile-free routes, meaning that they are suitable for those with limited mobility, each of the routes are graded using a system so you can choose the best one for you, routes are graded as:

  • Suitable for some
  • Suitable for many
  • Suitable for all

Each of the routes are colour coded, so you can easily see which routes are best suited to your abilities. Whether you are using a stick, a wheelchair, an all terrain mobility scooter or are travelling with children or a pushchair, you will be able to enjoy a walk on Dartmoor.

Each of the routes have been checked by Dartmoor National Park's Recreation and Access Team, working with Dartmoor Wheelchair Access Group.
