With its blend of rugged coastlines, historic landmarks, and verdant landscapes, East Devon is arguably the most picturesque area of the county. Wherever you like, you'll find beautiful locations to capture.
Here are some top photo spots in the region, plan a visit, you never know, you might end up on our Instagram!
Seaton Beach
A day out in Seaton isn't complete without a visit to the beach. Consistent winner of the Blue Flag award, it is a must visit destination for anyone wanting to take some stunning pictures. With the cliffs at one end, the colourful beach hut doors and the crashing waves, you can grab some excellent shots here.
Seaton Wetlands
With a host of hides and plenty of bird and wildlife to look out for, there are a host of diverse subjects to find at the Wetlands. The wetlands consist of several different sites, so you can always find something new here.
Seaton Labyrinth
For a unique photo op, head to Seaton Labyrinth. From a height, you can create some incredible shots but wherever you choose to stand for your photos, you'll find something interesting to focus on.
Seaton Tramway
Whether you choose to catch a tram and travel along towards Colyton or just want to stand on the platform and shoot the trams as they come in, there are loads of way you can add great photos to your portfolio or Instagram grid.
Ladram Bay
Going a little further afield, Ladram Bay can be found in between Sidmouth and Budleigh Saltrerton. There is private beach access via the holiday park on the cliff, or you can access it using the various signposted pathways. Ladram Bay is famous for the red sea stacks that come up from the ocean floor and during sunrise and sunset, you can capture some really stunning photos.
Budleigh Salterton beach
While we're out and about, make your way over to Budleigh Salterton beach where you will find some cute pastel beach huts lining the pebbled shore. You'll also find parts of the River Otter Estuary Nature Reserve visible from the beach, which make great pictures too.
Woodbury Common
For a more rural option, check out Woodbury Common. The heathland and woodland are great for capturing the various plantlife and there are some amazing panoramic views here too.
