May is packed full of bank holidays and fun as we inch closer to summer. But one weekend that is destined to deliver greatness is none other than the Coronation Weekend. Such a momentous occasion means there is a whole host of events and activities happening throughout Seaton and there is something for everyone. 

 

Why not kick off the weekend by watching the official ceremony? The Gateway Theatre are showing a free livestream of the ceremony on Saturday 6th, so everyone can join in and come together to witness history unfold. Also, on Sunday 7th, the Theatre will also be showing a free livestream of the Coronation Concert at Windsor Castle. Make sure to pop along so you don’t miss out on any of the fun!

 

If you’re looking to do something a little more activity based, there’s plenty happening for you as well. At Windsor Gardens you can take part in T-shirt decorating from 10am to 1pm. Or why don’t you visit the Flower Festival at St Gregory’s Church? Running throughout the long weekend, you can enjoy the bursting wildlife, with an extra splash of festive colours for the occasion. And finally, to commemorate the event, Seaton Town Council will gift a packet of wildflower seeks to all of Seaton’s resident children, so memories of the weekend can last even longer. 

 

Make the most of this special weekend and make a lasting impact on the town but getting involved with the Big Help Out and Surfers against Sewage’s beach clean! After a weekend of festivities, make a difference by helping keep our beautiful beach clean. If you wish to get involved, meet at 10am at Fisherman’s Gap, all are welcome.
