Hotel Breaks

Saunton Sands Hotel

With an array of hotels across North Devon, there’s something suitable for every guest. Whether you’re hoping for the unique, picturesque views offered by the Red Lion in the iconic village of Clovelly which overlooks the harbour, or something larger and more central, you’ll be able to find the right resort for you and your family.

We know that a lot of North Devon visitors love to be close to the beach and the sea, and if you’re one of them, Saunton Sands Hotel will fit the bill. Overlooking 3 miles of beach in close proximity to Saunton’s famous sand dunes, the hotel is luxurious whilst also remaining very family-friendly, with plenty of entertainment on for families over the holidays. There’s a fantastic offer at the hotel too; Cosy Rooms are available for £85 per person (with the youngest child going free) as a part of their Easter at the Beach deal.

The Park Hotel and Barnstaple Hotel are also offering Easter School Holiday packages from £56, including bed, breakfast and use of facilities, with children staying from just £12.50, while the Imperial Hotel has a 3-night deal over the Easter weekend which includes an egg hunt for the children on Sunday and lunch on Easter Monday.

Similarly, the Carlton Hotel in Ilfracombe is offering a £45.50 per person, per night package over Easter, which includes breakfast and the option of an Easter Sunday lunch.

Holiday Park Breaks

Combe Martin Beach Holiday Park

Holiday parks are perfect places to bring the family for a break, often accentuating North Devon’s rural and coastal location with activities galore for all ages and interests.

Ruda Holiday Park in Croyde has a close proximity to Croyde Bay Beach, offering an on-site surf school for beginners to get immersed in one of North Devon’s biggest communities. With a pool and kids club based at the park, it’s also not far from Cascades - a well loved local waterpark with slides, rapids and flumes. Bideford Bay Holiday Park has a pool with a waterslide, outdoor activities, and is a stone’s throw from Buck’s Mills and the stunning North Devon coast. Both parks are offering prime prices through the duration of the Easter holidays, with some availability still left over Easter weekend itself.

The popular seaside town of Combe Martin has a selection of parks, including Sandaway Beach, which has a busier, family-orientated environment, and Combe Martin Beach Holiday Park, which is slightly more rural and offers a peaceful break for families. Both of these are lucky enough to have their own private cove beaches, as well as on-site entertainment and links to North Devon’s local attractions, like the Valley of the Rocks and local beaches. Both parks are offering package deals for over the Easter holidays, and if you get in quick enough you may be able to still snatch up a reservation!

Croyde Bay Holiday Park is one of North Devon’s most loved holiday destinations. Close to Croyde Bay, it’s well connected to the beach and sand dunes, with a vibrant village and plenty to do on site.

Farm Breaks

Lower Campscott Farm

Whilst North Devon is renowned for its beaches and coastal proximity, it’s also a rural area, offering visitors a chance to really step into nature and the rustic lifestyle. Farm holidays are the perfect opportunity for this, and are particularly loved by families.

Bampfield Holiday Cottages offer the perfect combination between country life and charming, comfortable holiday cottages. Guests are welcome to collect eggs and watch the cows being milked - during April, they may even get to see the baby calves being born!
Similarly, Lower Campscott, near Woolacombe, provides hands-on animal feeding as well as tractor and trailer rides around the farm, with an outdoor play area for kids. It’s closely located to Woolacombe, Mortehoe, Lee Bay and Ilfracombe, so there’s plenty to do, as well as having the added bonus of being nearby North Devon’s famous beaches for the best of both worlds. There’s still Easter holiday availability for a number of beautiful cottages when the farm will be making the most of the Spring season.

Camping and Caravan Breaks

Newberry Valley Park

Camping and caravan holidays are another popular choice of holiday here in North Devon; after all, with stunning rural or coastal views, why wouldn’t you want to make the most of them?

Stowford Farm Meadows offer the same rural feel as a farm holiday would, but with a big and bustling park packed full of entertainment for the whole family. With unique activities on offer, like an on-site horse riding centre with horses and ponies suitable for advanced riders or beginners, as well as sports facilities, play areas, crazy golf and an indoor swimming pool, there’ll be plenty to keep you happy. For the Easter break, they’ve got a fantastic offer available; when you book 7 consecutive nights over the Easter weekend, you’ll receive a £40 discount off the price of your booking!

North Morte Farm offers some spectacular views, as it’s situated right over the coast and is surrounded by beautiful rural greenery. By being located along the South West Coast Path, there’s plenty to do and see, with the nearby village of Mortehoe within walking distance, and an array of beaches ranging from quiet Rockham to Woolacombe’s famous shores. Camping and caravans are both really reasonably priced during mid-season, with under 5s staying free.

Newberry Valley offers camping, or if you fancy the rural feel without sleeping under the stars, luxurious and cosy huts perfect for glamping. There are also various wellbeing courses on offer for those who really need a break from the hustle and bustle of daily life; and really, what better time to rejuvenate than over Easter?

Whatever kind of holiday you’re looking to take this Easter, North Devon will have the perfect location and accommodation to welcome you. With so many events taking place for children and families over the holidays, why would you want to miss out?
