Day One

After seeing the inside of the Cathedral, meet one of Exeter’s famous Red Coat Guides on Cathedral Green for a free walking tour of Exeter, with fascinating tales of the city’s turbulent history. Tours are pre-bookable in advance.
Lunch can be taken in the many cafes, tea rooms and restaurants around the city, serving delicious home-made lunches or afternoon teas with scones the size of elephants feet stacked high with Devon Clotted Cream and home-made jam
After lunch a visit to the award winning, Exeter’s Royal Albert Memorial Museum is also free to visit (but you can book your time slot in advance), and takes visitors on a voyage of discovery from pre-history to the present day, and from Exeter all around the world. Day Two
Set yourself a new year challenge in 2021 and try something new - A visit to the Quay Climbing Centre, the South West’s largest indoor climbing centre. For some adrenalin fuelled fun, try the high ropes or the climbing wall on Exeter’s historic quayside.
Afterwards, get on the water and hire a paddleboard, canoe or kayak from Saddles & Paddles to experience the freedom along Exeter Canal, Britain’s oldest ship canal, which has recently been awarded prestigious national status of Heritage Harbour.
