Short Stay Carparks
Long Stay Car Parks
A number of hotels and attractions have their own carparks, these are maintained by the businesses themselves.
If you need to top up your petrol, there is a petrol station on Woolbrook Road, Sidmouth EX10 9UU.
Sidmouth's beaches don't have a regular life guard presence, however there is signage and Sidmouth Lifeboat, a fully self funded independent lifeboat operating off of the main town beach and covering a wide area between Axmouth and Budleigh Salterton. The lifeboat team are all volunteers who are on service 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year.
In order to stay safe on the beach, please take note of all the signage and follow the advice listed. If you would like a copy of the Tide Table, you can find this in the window of the lifeboat station, a daily report is also available from outside SeaSalt.
Defibrillators (aka AEDs) are devices used in a medical emergency that can help patients who are experiencing cardiac arrest. They achieve this by supplying a current of electricity to the heart allowing to to resume a normal rhythm. They are easy to use and can be used by members of the public until the emergency services can attend.
In the event of an emergency, always call 999 first. A responder will then be able to give you the access code to retrieve the nearest defibrillator and will be able to talk you through using the device if needed.
