About

Welcome to Oakdown Holiday Park, the perfect place for caravan or glamping holidays in Devon.
You will be welcomed into a world of peace and tranquillity while holidaying with us.With a wide range of luxury holiday homes available, as well as a choice of quality touring and camping pitches and cosy glamping units, there’s something for everyone at our Devon holiday park.

For nearly 50 years Oakdown Holiday Caravan Park has been lovingly developed by the Franks Family, from the open Devonshire meadowland to its current multi-award-winning standard. No straight lines here, just gentle curves, spacious groves, seclusion, privacy and peace and quiet. It is no surprise that we are rated 5 star on Trip Advisor with our top class facilities and amenities, plus we are the area’s only AA 5 star
Platinum Park. Winners of Gold in the Holiday Park of the Year 2018 awards and Gold in the Visit Devon 2017 Awards. Our Devon holiday park combines a stunning location and great accommodation range with top class facilities and an immaculate site.

If your idea of the perfect holiday getaway is to escape to a rural location, close to the coast and the glorious countryside, yet with top family attractions on your doorstep, then a holiday in Devon at Oakdown is made for you. The Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site is just a stone’s throw from our caravan park, while we also lie within the East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and are close to the wilds of Dartmoor –perfect for those who like nothing more than enjoying the great outdoors. We’re also a short drive from Lyme Regis and Beer making us the perfect base for a family holiday.

Whatever kind of accommodation you are looking for, we have just the thing for you, choose from one of our 16 superb Leisure Lodges (5 of which are dog friendly), or one of our seven Glamping Units or bring your own accommodation and choose one of our pitches. With our wide range of holiday homes, touring and camping pitches and cosy glamping units, we can please even the fussiest of holiday makers.

Once you’ve finished exploring the beautiful Jurassic Coast and the surrounding areas and find yourself back onsite, be sure to visit the Oak Mead Café where you can sample the ever popular Oakdown Full English Breakfast, as well as a wide choice of hot and cold foods, including tasty cakes, made to order paninis, artisan pizzas, barista style coffees and teas as well as our home-made Italian Gelato. We also have the Oak Mead Shop on site, which is filled with all the essentials you might need during your stay, every day fresh bread and pastries are delivered from Vinnecombes Bakery in Sidmouth and you’ll also find milk, cheese, cream, bacon, eggs and shelves of dry goods, as well as food suitable for those with allergies.
The children will love our centrally positioned play area which has swings, climbing frames and more to keep them entertained, if the weather takes a turn for the worst, head to the quiet room where you can watch TV, play pool or table football. For those of you who want to stay fit while you’re with us, the Oak Mead Family Golf and Recreation Area is immediately opposite Oakdown and has a 9-hole course, plus plenty of other family friendly attractions nearby. Guests will be able to share stories of their adventures with us thanks to the WiFi available onsite.

Join us and make your Devon holiday one to remember.
