Walking in Ottery St Mary
One of the reasons why Ottery is such a great place for a casual stroll or day out exploring on foot is that many of the popular routes are flat - which makes it a great place for families and easily accessible for those that use mobility aids.
The River Otter
Walks along the River Otter are some of the most popular in Ottery St Mary. There are a number of marked footpaths around the river, park up at the Cannan Way car park and follow the pathways along the river out of town through the countryside. This section of path will take you around some of the disused railway line and will eventually bring you out in the neighbouring village of Tipton St John.
There is also a route towards Otterton and Budleigh Salterton.
Try these walks around the town and explore a rarely seen side of Ottery St Mary.
