Honiton Charter Days

Honiton Charter Day is one of the biggest days in Honiton’s events calendar. The day celebrates the town being awarded a Royal Charter in 1257, which then allowed for a weekly market and cemented Honiton as one of Devon’s leading market towns.

Charter Day has been celebrated annually since 2017 and is a day where the town’s charities and fundraising community come together to raise awareness of their good work and help fund projects around East Devon.

Celebrate Charter Day

Every year Charter Day brings a range of entertainment to the high street, spread across locations in the town including the church and the library. You’ll also find numerous stalls, a traditional street market, BBQ and more.

Make sure to keep an eye on our what’s on pages for the dates of the next Charter Day.
