Riverside Walks

Ottery St Mary has some lovely riverside walks, why not gather up the kids and create your own treasure hunt – you can see what plants, animals and birds you can find! 

Go otter spotting

Not only are the riverside walks good for getting out and enjoying nature, but you can also go for a walk to see if you can spot any of the resident otters and beavers that call the River Otter home! 

Explore the Jurassic Coast

Being so close to the coast, you can easily explore the Jurassic Coast from Ottery St Mary. The Jurassic Coast is always a fun place to visit, especially if you have dinosaur loving toddlers. 

Sidmouth Donkey Sanctuary

For a free day out, take a trip to nearby Sidmouth and visit the rescue donkeys at the sanctuary. 

Seaton Tramway

Another nearby attraction is Seaton Tramway, if you’re lucky, you can coincide your visit with one of their story tram activities.
