Sidmouth’s donkeys are getting excited as their reopening date draws nearer. The Donkey Sanctuary in Sidmouth plans to reopen to the public on Monday, 17th May, visitors can expect a return of the sanctuary’s usual high quality visitor experience, just with a few Covid-19 measures in place to keep you all safe.
The kitchen, gift shop and more of the indoor opportunities will be open, as well as there being greater access to the wider walks around the sanctuary providing plenty of chances to meet and interact with all the sanctuaries donkeys. The play area will also be open for younger visitors, but the Maze and Hermitage Woods will remain closed for the time being.
The Donkey Sanctuary is a haven for donkeys, it was founded in 1969 and since then, has made a huge difference to the lives of donkeys and people all over the world. There are six Donkey Sanctuaries in the UK, with the Sidmouth base being home to hundreds of donkeys. Not sure you can wait until 17th May?
