If you’re anything like us, you’ll already be in awe of Sidmouth’s natural beauty, but as we’re currently under a UK wide lockdown and we won’t be able to experience Sidmouth’s incredible views for ourselves for a while, we thought we would share some of our favourite shots of Sidmouth from you guys on Instagram.
First up, because we don’t want to let go of the Christmas cheer just yet, here’s the wonderfully festive Christmas lights that were up in the high street this year.

Obviously, the most photographed part of Sidmouth is the seafront and we have to admit, we love seeing your images of the waves and those iconic red cliffs, even if it is making us sad that we can’t all be enjoying them right now.

Jacob’s Ladder is another of our favourite sights, especially with a blue sky as a backdrop…

It isn’t just the waves and the local landmarks that make great photography subjects on Sidmouth seafront, there are plenty of wonderful things to find among the rocks, especially when the tide changes.

Another thing we cannot wait to see with our eyes when lockdown restrictions are lifted is Sidmouth at sunrise. There is just something very magical about the Jurassic Coast at this time of day, as you can see:

Of course, there is more to Sidmouth than the coast. The surrounding countryside makes for an amazing photography subject and those of us living in the town are lucky enough to be able to use the Byes and the surrounding area for daily exercise during lockdown. Don’t worry though, those of you who are too far away to be able to go for a ramble or a picnic at the moment, the countryside will still be here to welcome you when restrictions are over!

For those of you who haven’t been able to visit for a whole because of the ongoing pandemic, we’re sure that there will be lots of new things for you to discover on your next visit, so make sure to keep following the #visitsidmouth tag on Instagram to experience all the changes, like this one:

Just remember there is light at the end of the rainbow and we hope to welcome you all back again soon.
