The Sidmouth Regatta and Air Show 2026 returns over the August Bank Holiday weekend, bringing one of Devon’s most exciting summer events back to the seafront. Set against the dramatic backdrop of the Jurassic Coast, the weekend combines thrilling air displays, competitive water sports and a lively seaside atmosphere right in the heart of Sidmouth.

This year’s event is shaping up to be one of the biggest yet, with a packed programme of aerial displays, family activities, food and drink, and the chance to win major prizes in the Regatta Grand Draw.

When is the Sidmouth Air Show 2026?

The Sidmouth Air Show takes place over the August Bank Holiday weekend, 28–31 August 2026, alongside the Sidmouth Regatta. Air displays are scheduled throughout Friday afternoon, creating a spectacular viewing experience from the Esplanade and surrounding coastal viewpoints.

Air Show – Friday 28 August

The Air Show begins at 3pm with Sidmouth’s own Road Arrows, followed by lifeboat and lifeguard demonstrations. The aerial displays then take to the sky, including:

  • Stampe Display Team

  • Navy Wings Swordfish

  • Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Dakota

  • AeroSuperBatics Wingwalkers

  • Rich Goodwin Jet Pitts

  • And the RAF Red Arrows, closing the show at 6.40pm

Visitors can also enjoy a Foodcourt at the Ham, a Branscombe Brewery bar, Red Arrows merchandise and a Red Arrows Flight Simulator across Friday and Saturday.

Regatta Weekend Highlights

The Regatta continues throughout the weekend with sailing races, Surf Lifesaving, a Treasure Hunt, Tug of War, the Three‑Legged Event, the Fancy Dress Raft Race and the Grand Fireworks Display. Sunday brings more sailing, the Gig Club Regatta and performances from the Sea Shanty Singers.

Regatta Grand Prize Draw

This much‑loved free event relies on donations and community support, and the Grand Draw offers visitors the chance to win fantastic prizes, including:
