Sidmouth Music concerts, bringing high quality chamber music and recitals to Sidmouth, will return on 15th October, reinstating bookings originally planned during the pandemic and a host of other talented musicians.
The first two concerts, starting on 15th October, will be part of the programme from 2020/21 which were cancelled due to Covid-19 restrictions and lockdown.
Kicking off proceedings are The Ruisi String Quartet, who will perform Haydn’s Quartet no 64 in D major and Beethoven’s Quartet no 15 in A Minor with other performances to be confirmed.
On Saturday 12th November, pianist Antonina Suhanova will return to the town in a concert supported by the Making Music Award for Young Concert Artists. Following this will be the Mithras Piano Trio, supported by the Countess of Munster Musical Trust, on 10th December who will play four trios.
The concerts will continue into the new year, with counter tenor Jean-Max Lattemann and Dylan Perez in January and Simon Callaghan in February. The final concert in the season will feature the Wihan Quartet, who were supposed to have been in Sidmouth for their 35th anniversary tour which fell during the pandemic restrictions. They will be closing the season on 18th March.
Tickets are available online at sidmouthmusic.org.uk or in person from Paragon Books.
