Local landscape photographer, Gary Holpin, has created a new book showcasing the beauty of South Devon, which includes many of his favourite snaps of Sidmouth. The book, 50 Gems of South Devon, The History and Heritage of the Most Iconic Places is being published by Amberley Publishing and will be available from 15th August.
The book features a selection of Gary’s photos from around South Devon, including along the Jurassic Coast reflecting the region’s splendour from coast to countryside and town to village.

Gary, a self taught photographer, moved to Devon in 2003 and immediately fell in love with the area. Talking about his new book, he said: “Since moving to Devon almost twenty years ago, not only has its natural beauty inspired me to become a photographer, but I’ve also developed a passion for exploring this beautiful and diverse county. The inspiration for 50 Gems of South Devon was to share some of the best places and events that I’ve encountered on my journey and to inspire others to get out and explore it too.”
50 Gems of South Devon is available from 15th August, find out more and get your own copy here.
