Don’t miss out on your chance to see the work of local artists at this year’s End of Year Exhibition hosted by the East Devon Art Academy.

Taking place between 9th and 17th July, the exhibition will feature work from students and will raise money for the Ukraine Disaster Fund. You can visit the exhibition between 11am and 5pm each day and you will find everything from paintings in oils, acrylics, mixed media and watercolours on display, as well as a selection of prints and cards which will be on sale. 

The East Devon Art Academy offer a series of weekly classes suitable for a range of abilities, from beginners to experienced artists. Among the classes, are sessions on drawing, watercolours, mixed media, oils and acrylics, as well as life drawing and painting classes. They also offer a monthly printing group. Each of the classes and workshops are held in the academy’s own spacious studio based in the centre of Sidmouth, just moments away from the inspirational Jurassic Coastline.

All of the workshops are held throughout the year and range in length from one day to a full week, more information is available on their website here.

Throughout the year, there are also a series of exhibitions and talks held for those interested in finding out more about different art mediums and the End of Year Exhibition is a great way to find out more about the courses on offer as well as to see some spectacular art from the current students. Make sure to drop into the studios on Old Fore Street, Sidmouth, between 11 am and 5pm from 9th July.
