Get August 6th in your diaries – the first public screening of a long awaited film about Sidmouth’s iconic Folk Festival will take place at Radway Cinema in the town.
The documentary, titled A Small Quiet English Town, covers the history of the festival since its launch in 1955 and features archive video footage from local residents and interviews with some of the musicians who have appeared at the festival over the years. Created by Paul and Ali Tully of TPL Films, A Small Quiet English Town came together using hundreds of hours of unseen footage telling the story of the festival over the years.
The public screening will be the first chance to see the finished documentary. It will be available on CD, DVD, Blu Ray and via online streaming. In the next year, a collector’s edition with added elements will be released and all proceeds from screenings, streaming and sales will go to support the Folk Festival.
