There are plenty of exciting things planned for 2025, including the upcoming Sidmouth Folk Festival, which returns in August. Organisers are already ramping up the anticipation, by announcing the first acts which will make up this year’s line up.

So far, Seth Lakeman, from Dartmoor, and his band, will be appearing, joined by Richard Thompson, Sharon Shannon, the East Pointers, Peatbog Faeries and the Fisherman’s Friends, who will once again be performing at the pre festival show.

2025 will see the festival’s 71st event and as always, there will be something for everyone, including the youth centred Shooting Roots programme and a host of individual events taking place across Sidmouth.
