With acres of countryside, a host of beautiful beaches and the iconic Jurassic Coast, there’s plenty to keep you entertained in East Devon this Easter. Whether you’re visiting for the bank holiday weekend or for the Easter holidays, here are some suggestions for keeping the whole family occupied this Easter.

In Sidmouth, the Donkey Sanctuary will be open, giving you a chance to make friends with the resident donkeys and take on their Easter themed trail. By following the trail you can discover a host of animals that call the sanctuary home – there might even be an egg or two to discover!

Elsewhere, try unleashing your creative side with a trip to Something Lovely to make some pottery or visit the local shops or museums to enjoy a true taste of East Devon.

In Seaton, you can enjoy a crafting session at the Coastal Craft Collective or if you fancy being outside, visit Seaton Wetlands. Wild East Devon often run a series of events over the school holidays, or if you want to explore at your own pace, the wetlands are open all year round. Alternatively, Seaton Tramway have a pirate themed Easter hunt taking place, as well as their usual rides between Seaton and Colyton stations.

Elsewhere in the region, Crealy’s usual fun and activities will also include a pirate themed Easter Egg hunt with the chance to win a prize. Alternatively, take a trip to Ottery St Mary and visit Wildwood Escot – there’s always something going on and the chance to meet some of the beautiful animals including red squirrels, wolves and bears who all call the conservation centre home.
