Love Parks Week kicks off on 26th July and is the perfect time to get out and enjoy East Devon’s parks and gardens! Spending time outside in the region’s parks and gardens are a great way to get healthy, reduce stress and enjoy a free day out for the whole family!
East Devon is a great place to visit if you want to enjoy Love Parks Week – there is an abundance of green space to explore and to help you make the most of the week. In all, there are over 200 open spaces in the East Devon area, so that gives you plenty of choice!
To help narrow down the list, here are some of our favourite parks and gardens in the region.

If you do spend some time in one of the region’s parks, please be aware of other park users and respectful of their space. Some spaces are more suitable for things like games and activities than others, so take note of the amount of space and the landscaping. Dogs are allowed in the majority of green space, please follow any signage and be sure to keep your dog on a lead if the park is particularly busy and use the dog bins provided. Similarly, if you’re planning a picnic or stop off for some refreshments to enjoy while exploring, take all rubbish with you or use the bins provided.

A 13 mile walk around the Sid Valley Ring. This is a moderate to difficult walk.
This walk starts at the White Cross Car Park this look drops down to Tipton through woodlands then using tracks and lanes works back towards Ottery.
