Established since 2001, this exciting, award winning, all weather, family attraction is the ‘go-to’ attraction whilst in Ilfracombe.

Exciting New Exhibits and enhanced café space with Café Harbour View Deck; providing stunning elevated views of the harbour, Verity & St. Nicholas’ Chapel.
The LOCAL AQUATIC EXHIBITS are a lovingly-cared-for, collection of living exhibits displaying over 75 species. They provide a unique and fascinating zoned journey of discovery from the source of an Exmoor stream to sea and beyond - to Lundy and it’s Marine Protected Area. Complimentary childrens’ quizzes, for all ages, following fun trails are offered on entry.
Friendly, caring, knowledgeable staff engage with talks, offer feeding demonstrations and remain on hand throughout to help.
The aquarium also offers the FUNKY FISH GIFT SHOP where a great range of good value, unusual aquatic themed gifts can be purchased. THE PIER CAFÉ with Harbour View Deck provides a wide variety of delicious, sensibly priced, quality products available to enjoy in a relaxing and beautiful sun-trap, harbourside environment. Free wifi.

We do not accept bank transfers etc but we do accept all major credit cards except American Express. Cash and contactless payments accepted.
* The Aquarium is still closed but we are hoping to reopen for Easter 2021. The Pier Cafe and Funky Fish Gift Shop are also currently closed.
