The Exmoor National Park is a beautiful place to visit, especially in the spring when you have the new pony foals staggering around and the new spring colours popping up across the heathland and the coastal paths.

If you’re planning a trip to Exmoor in March, here are our top tips for events to attend while in the area.

For those that love literature

Exmoor National Park is famous for its literary connections, many of the UK’s best loved romantic poets called the region home for some time and authors like Charles Kingsley and Rudyard Kipling have areas named after them and their works. Perhaps one of the most famous, epic romance novels of our time is Lorna Doone by RD Blackmore, so follow in the footsteps of his characters with a Literary Walk in the Doone Valley with Wild about Exmoor.
