From exploring the Exmoor National Park to taking on the waves at the UK’s first surf reserve to completing a few round of golf at some of the oldest courses in the UK – there is never a dull moment in North Devon.

If you’re spending the Easter break in the region, here are some of our suggestions for things to do this Easter around North Devon.

Milky Way Adventure Park, Bideford

As well as the usual fun and games you can find at the Milky Way Adventure Park, their hugely popular Easter Grotto is back for the Easter holidays. Running from 28th March to 7th April, you can journey down the rabbit hole to meet the Easter Bunny, see how they manage to keep on top of the Easter rush, receive your own chocolatey treat and take part in a variety of Easter challenges – all as part of your entry to the park.

The Big Sheep, Bideford

One of the joys of Easter is getting to see the new lambs and chicks – something you can do with a trip to the Big Sheep who are holding lamb feeding sessions and the chance to meet the various farm animals as part of their Easter offering. You can meet the Easter Bunny, watch hilarious live shows and enjoy all the rides as usual too.

The North Devon Wake Park, Bideford

The North Devon Wake Park will be opening the aqua park on Good Friday for the new season. If you fancy some adventure without having to get out on the waves, this is a great place to spend the Easter break.

Clovelly Village, Clovelly

This historic village is always worth a visit and over the Easter break, you can take on their annual trail to find the Easter chicks. If you find at least ten of them, you get a prize!

RHS Garden Rosemoor, Torrington

Visiting a garden in the spring months is a great way to enjoy the new flowers blooming, and with the landscaped gardens at Rosemoor, there are lots of interesting flowers and plants to enjoy. Over the Easter break, their giant Easter egg hunt is back from 29th March until 14th June, and for the younger kids, a Welly Walk is taking place. At the end of the holidays, the Great Wool Weekend will give you a chance to see the garden in a whole new way and get up close to some very cute animals.

Hartland Abbey, Hartland

Hartland Abbey is reopening just in time for the Easter holidays, with an egg hunt taking place from Easter Sunday. As well as a chance to locate a hidden trove of eggs, the spring flowers will also be out and many of the estate’s exhibitions will be open and are included in the entry to the gardens.

The Mole Resort, Umberleigh

There’s a whole host of things going on at the Mole Resort this Easter. As well as crafts and activities, there is a free Easter egg hunt around the grounds, an Easter themed afternoon tea and a sumptuous Easter lunch with a three course menu to enjoy.
