Bring the whole family together this Easter for an exciting spring adventure with the National Trust's Easter Egg Trails! Taking place from April 5th to April 21st, these trails span across Arlington Court, Lorna Doone Valley, Baggy Point, Heddon Valley, and Woolacombe.
Brimming with outdoor fun and hands-on experiences, each Easter trail offers something unique. From nature-themed crafts and egg-and-spoon races to welly wanging, egg spotting, and even scrambled egg slingshotting—there’s plenty to keep everyone entertained. Wander through sandy dunes, hop down to the sea, or explore the blossoming gardens and grounds of Arlington Court as spring awakens.
Kate Godden, Experience & Visitor Programming Manager for North Devon National Trust, shared, “Easter is always a highlight of the year, and we’re excited to welcome families to celebrate spring with us. With a fantastic variety of trails across North Devon, from the wooded walks of Heddon Valley to the beautiful grounds of Arlington Court, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.”
Created with families in mind, each National Trust Easter trail features ten engaging activity stations, highlighting the best of each location. Trails cost £3.50 per child and include a trail map, bunny ears, a take-home activity sheet, and a chocolate egg or free-from alternative. Standard National Trust admission applies, with free entry for National Trust members at Arlington Court.
Adding to the Easter festivities, Lorna Doone Valley will host two free Easter Family Fun Days on April 9th and 16th, packed with crafting, nature exploration, and a range of family-friendly activities. Visit the Lorna Doone website for more details.
