Rosemoor’s annual Flower Show returns from Friday 18 to Sunday 20 August, bringing a weekend of gardening inspiration to North Devon. Sponsored by Atkins Ferrie Wealth Management, this three day event will showcase renowned floral artists and dozens of nurseries and trade stands, with entertainment for all age groups across the stunning grounds.
Over three days visitors can shop from more than 20 specialist nurseries each highlighting their best seasonal blooms for plenty of gardening inspiration, as well as get top advice from experts. In addition to the amazing variety of plants on sale, trade stands near both the Orchard and the Lake will be selling an array of goodies for homes and outdoor spaces of all sizes.
New for 2023, RHS Rosemoor will host the South West Area of NAFAS Floral Competition for the first time ever. Expect a fantastic show including classes for all levels of expertise, as well as a series of floral demonstrations by some of the nation’s most respected arrangers, including Alison Penno, with a chance to take an awe-inspiring arrangement home.
Amongst a full programme of talks and demos, celebrity florist Jonathan Moseley will once again bring his expertise to the August event with twice-daily demonstrations at the Talks Tent, situated in the centre of the showground. Across the garden there will be several floral arrangements created by Devonshire flower clubs and inspired by the theme ‘Where Winged Beauties Come to Rest.’
Throughout the three-day show a variety of food and drink will be on offer, from sumptuous meals in the newly refurbished Garden Restaurant, which uses produce grown in the garden, to scrumptious take away treats from the Otter Café, Shepherd’s Rest and Wisteria Tea Room. Be sure not to miss one of RHS Rosemoor’s much lauded Devon cream teas!
Lady Anne’s Lawn is set to be a hive of activity, with live music from local folk musicians, jazz trios and sea shanties throughout the weekend. Additionally, a family area will make this a fantastic day out for all ages, with fairground games, face-painting, circus skills, and more.
Visitors can take the opportunity to enjoy the 65 acres of inspirational gardens, with high summer highlights including the Chelsea Gold medallist-designed Cool Garden, the iconic Hot Garden, the Queen Mother’s and the Shrub Rose Gardens, the Cottage Garden, Potager and Fruit and Vegetable Garden.
Entry to the RHS Rosemoor Garden Flower Show is included with normal garden admission, which is free for RHS members. Non-members can redeem their admission against the cost of membership by joining at the show.
