This year, the charming twin towns of Lynton and Lynmouth are pulling out all the stops for an extended Christmas Weekend, now running over three days from Friday 28th to Sunday 30th November 2025 — promising twinkling lights, festive markets, community competitions, and heart-warming entertainment for the whole family.
Nestled in the dramatic scenery of Exmoor National Park, Lynton & Lynmouth transform into a winter wonderland each year — but 2025 is set to be their biggest and brightest celebration yet.
What to Expect This Year:
Friday 28th November – Light Up Lynton & Lynmouth
• Christmas lights switch-on in both towns, including Lynmouth’s iconic Lobster Pot Christmas Tree
• Bring your letters to Father Christmas at Lynton Town Hall
• Enjoy Twilight Taverns in Lynmouth: candlelit drinks, festive nibbles, and live music
• Caffyns Farm Christmas Craft Fair opens with an evening of artisan stalls (5pm – 9pm) Saturday 29th November – Market Day & Live Music
• Explore the Lynton Town Hall Christmas Market (10am – 5pm) and Caffyns Farm Christmas Fair (10am – 6pm)
• Enter the deliciously festive Cottage Pie Competition at The Crown Hotel
• Enjoy live music in Lynmouth into the evening
Weekend Highlights – Saturday & Sunday
• The Lyn Valley Dog House Christmas Dog Agility Weekend: free, fun, and furry! Dogs of all shapes and sizes will compete in novelty agility categories (Crown Car Park, 11am – 3pm)
• Best Dressed Window Competition (businesses) and Best Dressed House Competition (residents). Judging via social media and a “Secret Judge”
Sunday 30th November – Final Festive Flourish
Lynton and Lynmouth continue the celebrations with another full day of markets, lights, and seasonal cheer
