Great holiday parks in North Devon

We love trips to North Devon – as England’s Adventure Coast there is so much to see and do and that includes with your choice of accommodation! Whether you’re looking to set up a base near the coast, in the depths of the countryside or on the outskirts of one of the big towns like Barnstaple or Bideford – you’ll find something to suit your needs and budget. For those of you who want to enjoy some surfing on top of a host of family-friendly activities, Parkdean Resort’s Ruda Holiday Park is a great choice. Located with views across Croyde Bay and within the UK’s first surf reserve, this park has everything you could need for adventure, peace and tranquillity, making it ideal for the whole family. The site features waterslides, a heated pool, kids’ clubs and a host of eateries, as well as comfortable lodges to call home. Another Parkdean site, Bideford Bay is another great option. Located on a hilltop, you’ll be able to enjoy incredible views from the various nearby beaches. It’s a good place for families with young children, with its mini assault course, adventure playground and crazy golf. The site also has both indoor and outdoor heated pools, waterslides, soft play and sports courses, as well as eateries, an onsite laundrette and shop – so you don’t have to worry about running out of anything while away!

Close to the Ruda site is Croyde Bay Resort, which is nestled behind the sand dunes on Croyde Beach and even has its own private pathway down to the beach. Here you can choose between Croyde’s only hotel which sits on the site, as well as lodges and cottages – so you can really find a property that suits you. If you don’t fancy spending your days on the beach, either taking on the waves or watching others do it, you’ll find plenty to see and do, including an onsite gym, live entertainment and swimming pools amongst others. You’ll also find designated dog friendly lodges here too.

If you like the sound of having lots of activities right on your doorstep, book a stay at Golden Coast Leisure Park. You’ll really find something for everyone here, with everything from caravans, lodges, villas and apartments to call home. Once you’ve found the perfect accommodation, spend time in one of the heated pools or waterslides, those that want to have a go at surfing can even try it out with their unique surfing simulator and other high adrenaline activities. You won’t even need to leave the park to find things to do here!

If you want to bring your dogs with you and be close to one of the region’s premier surfing beaches, check out Saunton Beach Villas. Though there aren’t the facilities you can find elsewhere, this is a great spot for those who love being out in the open, Saunton beach is on the doorstep, Braunton Burrows is a stone’s throw away and you’re close to places like Baggy Point for those of you who want to explore.
