One of the best venues for a wedding is a hotel – not only do you have ample space, expert staff on hand to help you every step of the way, but you can hold the whole thing in one place, there is accommodation for those that have to travel and some incredible dining options. Many of North Devon’s hotels have dedicated wedding planners who will create bespoke packages for you, so you can have a day that is just as unique as you are.

If you’re looking for somewhere elegant, with the atmosphere of somewhere remote and far away from the rest of the world, while still being convenient for those travelling, take a look at the Barnstaple Hotel. The hotel itself dates back to 17th century and has a lovely historical feel to it, creating a special atmosphere for your big day. If the weather is on your side, step outside into the Secret Garden, which overlooks the River Torridge and is a perfect location to get those all important wedding photos.
