This summer holiday, RHS Garden Rosemoor has a fantastic programme of activities for the whole family to enjoy in collaboration with the multi-Academy-Award®-winning studio, Aardman. Visitors to the gardens in North Devon are invited to join Shaun the Sheep in  The Great Garden Adventure  a range of indoor and outdoor activities running throughout the summer holidays, 27th July - 1st September. 

Join Shaun on an epic gardening adventure this summer as he learns from the friendly experts at RHS Rosemoor how to grow the best fruit and veg to keep him baa-rilliantly healthy! Follow the trail and play Hide and Sheep with friends and family, Find the Flock by hunting down the three decorated Shaun the Sheep sculptures and then make your own model of him at a Claystation workshop. Meet Shaun in the fleece for a cheeky selfie and then enjoy farm-themed shows, games and entertainment! 

The Great Garden Adventure with Shaun the Sheep 

Daily, Saturday 27 July – Sunday 1 September: 10.00 am – 6.00 pm, self-led trail. 
Come and join Shaun the Sheep on this fun family adventure trail through the garden as he learns what is needed to grow the best fruit and veg to keep him and his friends in tip-top condition.

Hide and Sheep 

Daily, Saturday 27 July – Sunday 1 September: 10.00 am – 6.00 pm
Find Shaun the Sheep by searching for him with friends and family in the ‘Hide and Sheep’ zone. For added fun, use Aardman’s free interactive, augmented reality app to bring Shaun to life in 3D, pose for a photo opportunity and complete the stamp collection. Aardman’s Shaun the Sheep Hide & Sheep AR Trail app can be downloaded from the App StoreGoogle Play or alternatively, scan the QR code at the garden. Once downloaded, enter the RHS Rosemoor location code 1988 and follow the markers at the garden to interact with Shaun in augmented reality.

Pigging out on the Farm

Monday 29 July; Tuesday 6, Monday 19 and Tuesday 27 August. 
Truffles the pig is a porker! Every day on Misty Meadows Farm he eats his way through everyone’s breakfast. Join Mr Puddleford the farmer and his team as they finally teach Truffles to share.

The chicken that forgot how to chicken 

Tuesday 30 July; Monday 12 and Tuesday 20 August
Mr Puddleford and his team can’t find Chicken anywhere. There won’t be enough eggs for everyone if she doesn’t come back soon. Can you help them find her in time for tea?

Reduce, Re - Ewes, Recycle

Monday 5, Tuesday 13 and Monday 26 August
Sheep like to keep their farm nice and tidy, but people keep on messing it up! Join Sheep as they find inventive ways to reuse all the unwanted treasures they find on the farm.

Marvellous Eventures Character Walk-a-bouts

Learning Centre Lawn: Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays 11.00am – 4.00pm
30-minute Shaun the Sheep appearances: 11.00am, 12.00pm, 2.00pm and 3.00pm. Meet Shaun the Sheep as well as farmer characters and play tractor-themed games.

Claystation sessions*

Garden Room Thursdays 1, 22 and 29 August at 10.30am, 12.00 noon and 2.30pm Get creative with this model making activity where you can make your very own miniature Shaun the Sheep clay figure.

Exmoor Zoo Creatures up Close*

Garden Room Friday 9 and 30 August: 10.30am, 11.30am, 12.30pm and 2.30pm Meet some real animals up close and personal with Steve Eddie from Exmoor Zoo and learn more about some amazing creatures. £3 per child; please pre-book online.

Fizz Science Show*

Garden Room, Wednesday 31July: 10.30am, 12.30pm and 2.30pm
This interactive science show returns with even more fascinating fun to entertain all the family. £3 per child; please pre-book online.

Captain Coconut’s Bubble show with face painting*

Garden Room, Thursday 22 August: 10.30am, 12.30pm and 2.30pm
An unmissable show filled with bubbles and fun plus an opportunity to get your face painted and join the flock! £3 per child; please pre-book online.

Children can also enjoy guided walks in the garden based on different themes throughout the summer, spending time exploring the gardens, learning about the wildlife and habitat at RHS Rosemoor, and taking part in creative activities:

Summer Stomp*

Tuesdays 30 July, 6, 20 and 27 August: 10.30am or 2pm

Woodland Wednesdays*

Wednesdays 31 July, 7, 21 and 28 August: 10.30am or 2pm
*£3 per child, book in advance online.

If that’s not enough, three Wild in Art Shaun the Sheep sculptures, including one decorated especially for Rosemoor, are hidden around the 65-acre garden waiting for you to discover plus there are two dedicated play areas and a den building zone for children to enjoy.

With so much on offer these holidays, ewe can be guaranteed a great day out enjoying Shaun the Sheep’s Great Garden Adventure at RHS Rosemoor this summer!

Activities each day will vary, and, unless they have a *, are included in your admission fee. Remember, entry is free to RHS members and children under 5. Anyone travelling car free gets a 30% discount off admission and £1 tickets are available to those claiming Universal Credit, Pension Credit and ESA - check the website for details.
