Escape to the peace and tranquillity of our family farm overlooking the sea and relax in our 4-star holiday cottages and lodges. Perfect for families, couples and groups of friends, everyone is welcome to join in with the daily animal feeding, explore the farm and take a tractor and trailer ride. Even bring your dog!
The cottages and lodges are set in 35 acres of glorious Devon countryside within our own private and picturesque valley over looking Lee Bay, making it a perfect destination whoever you are and whatever your plans for your trip to Devon. There is no traffic noise, just peace and tranquillity with the sound of nature and birdsong. If you want to escape the hustle and bustle of every day life, the area is abundant with wildlife and fresh air with stunning sunsets and clear night skies. There are plenty of places only a short distance away to visit, you’re within minutes of the coast, where you can enjoy the award-winning golden beaches of Woolacombe, if you’d like something a bit different, you can explore the Victorian sea side town of Ilfracombe, again only a short distance away, where you can see the Tunnel Beaches and also experience Damien Hirst’s Verity.
Children are welcome to help the farmer feed the animals every day, they can make friends with the resident Shetland Ponies and explore the farm leaving the parents to relax, it’s the ideal family holiday, allowing the whole family to reconnect with nature, explore the beauty of North Devon and enjoy the freedom that a farm holiday can provide. The animals on the farm are incredibly popular with our younger guests, you can meet our family of rabbits and guinea pigs, all are friendly and available for cuddles! We’re also home to rare breed pigs, pygmy goats, ducks, Devon longwool sheep and Dexter cattle.
For those of you looking for a quiet get away, there is plenty to take your fancy both on the farm and in the surrounding areas. From the farm you can walk to the beach at Lee Bay, the village pub and the South West Coast Path. We are just a few minutes’ drive from the golden sandy beaches of Woolacombe, Putsborough, Croyde and Saunton with Exmoor National Park close by. This is really the perfect place for nature lovers, enjoy our beautiful Wikd Flower Meadow, wildlife pond and bug hotel. If you’re quiet you’ll be able to spot badgers, foxes, pheasants and even bats and owls.
Eight well-equipped cottages and lodges sleep from 3 to 8 people. They have all the comforts of home and are heated with carbon neutral wood pellet boilers which provide unlimited heating and hot water, which is part of our commitment to green holidays and sustainability. Why not book the whole site for 40 people and enjoy a get-together in our function room which has its own kitchen?
Our largest family friendly home sleeps eight and is ideal for several families or groups of friends and the smallest sleeps three plus a cot, so is ideal for a couple or young family.
The site has a games room with pool table, table tennis and table football. Board games, puzzles and DVDs are available to borrow from the Farm Shop where you will find tasty farm-produced meat, home-cooked meals, grocery essentials, cakes and treats. For the young at heart, there is an outdoor play area overlooking the sea, barbeques and a quiet camping field for tents and caravans, there’s lots to do for the whole family without even having to leave the farm!
