This six mile circular walk combines the gentle beauty of the River Otter with the dramatic clifftops of the Jurassic Coast. Starting in Otterton village, the route follows the riverside south through meadows and reedbeds alive with birds, before reaching the pebble beach at Budleigh Salterton. From here it joins the South West Coast Path, climbing to wide sea views and the historic Brandy Head Observation Post, once used in the Second World War. The return inland crosses open farmland and quiet lanes, bringing you back to Otterton Mill for a well earned stop. Allow around two and a half hours to enjoy this moderate walk with plenty of variety and stunning scenery.
