The Beer and Branscombe Circular Walk is a breathtaking coastal route showcasing some of Devon’s finest scenery. Starting from the fishing village of Beer, the walk quickly climbs above the village onto dramatic clifftops, where wide sea views stretch along the Jurassic Coast.
Following sections of the South West Coast Path, the route offers classic coastal walking, with rolling grassy paths, chalk cliffs, and ever-changing views across the English Channel. The trail then descends inland towards Branscombe, one of England’s oldest villages, known for its historic buildings, thatched cottages, and relaxed rural charm.
The return loop weaves through a mix of rolling countryside, woodland paths, and valley tracks before rejoining the coast and descending back into Beer. With its varied terrain, stunning viewpoints, and peaceful inland sections, this walk perfectly balances dramatic coastline with tranquil Devon landscapes.
