Bring the whole family together this Easter for a fun-filled spring adventure with the National Trust's Easter Egg Trails. Running from the 5th April to 21st April, these trails take place across Arlington Court, Lorna Doone Valley, Baggy Point, Heddon Valley and Woolacombe.
Jam-packed with outdoor activities and experiences, every Easter trail is different. From nature-inspired crafts, egg and spoon races and welly wanging to egg spotting, scrambled egg slingshotting and much more. Skip through sandy dunes, hop down to the sea or take in the gardens and grounds at Arlington Court as it comes alive with signs of spring.
Kate Godden, Experience & Visitor Programming Manager for North Devon National Trust, said, ‘Easter is always a highlight of the year, and we are looking forward to welcoming families to celebrate spring with us. We have a great variety of trails across North Devon from wooded walks at Heddon Valley to taking in the grounds at Arlington Court, there is plenty for the whole family to enjoy’.
Designed with families in mind each National Trust Easter trail features ten fun activity stations, showcasing the best of each location. The trail costs £3.50 per child, including a trail map, bunny ears, a take-home activity sheet, and a chocolate egg or free-from alternative. Normal National Trust admission/free entry for National Trust members applies for Arlington Court.
In addition to the trails, Lorna Doone Valley is hosting two free Easter Family Fun Days on the 9th and 16th of April, featuring crafting, nature discovery, and plenty of family-friendly activities. Visit the Lorna Doone website to find out more.
