One traditional event to enjoy while in Devon over the summer is a local regatta. Dartmouth in South Devon and Sidmouth in East Devon both host regattas over the August bank holiday or if you’re in North Devon, don’t forget to check out Clovelly’s Regatta.

Nature enthusiasts will appreciate the beauty of the National Parks, Exmoor and Dartmoor, where families can enjoy everything from hiking, picknicking and adventure activities, like climbing or just exploring the historical sites and stone circles. Both National Parks are home to two distinct breed of ponies, the Dartmoor and Exmoor Pony, as well as birds of prey and feral goats!
