Or for something a little different where your dad can be fed and enjoy a day out, check out Stuart Line Cruises Pasty and a Pint Cruise! Held especially for Father’s Day, much like the name suggests, dads get a pasty and a pint! Setting off from Exmouth Marina at various times throughout the day, tickets include an award-winning pasty (choice of meat or vegetarian) and the drink of your choice, including Devon Red Cider or a choice of beers, ciders, wines or softs! The cruise takes you along the River Exe where you can enjoy a whole new side to Devon’s coastline.
Ideas for a day out with the family
Many of Devon’s top attractions are offering discounts and extra activities for Father’s Day, so whether you want a theme park or something a bit more gentle, there are plenty of options.
In Dartmouth is Woodland’s Family Theme Park – Devon’s largest family theme park featuring some of the largest water coasters in Devon, a host of superhero-themed fun and an incredible zoo farm! Dads also get to go free at Seaton Tramway in East Devon. Once again, dads and grandads travel for free with an accompanying child all day on 16th June. Seaton Tramway is a great nostalgic day out, with trips on trams running through some of the most beautiful East Devon countryside. You can even make the day even more special by stopping off at the Tramstop Café for a lunch or Devon Cream Tea.
Or how about spending the day making friends with some cute animals? Head to Dartmoor Zoo where dads get to visit for free all day. As well as a chance to meet the animals, to help you celebrate the men in your life, you can also enjoy some exciting, competitive activities at the zoo!
