Brixham Trawler Race: boats dressed with bunting battle it out with two lap race around the Bay and fun and festivities on the quayside all raising money for local charities.
Eat Dirt on Exmoor: cycle across 22 miles of mixed terrain, much of which is not normally open to the general public.
Gliding Open Day: take the opportunity to experience this amazing sport first hand without having to pre-book, at The Devon and Somerset Gliding Club. Fly with a qualified instructors from a winch launch for up to 15 minutes – you can even take the controls.
Dragon Boat Event Plymouth: take on a 2,000-year-old Chinese tradition and have a go at dragon-boating while supporting The Royal British Legion. Teams go head-to-head in long boats decorated with magnificent dragon figureheads. It's a test of teamwork and concentration as well as a physical challenge. There's a great atmosphere too, as family and friends line the shores and cheer on the teams. Enthusiasm is essential, but experience is not - you will be given all the coaching you need. However you must be confident in water whilst wearing a buoyancy aid.
