The sanctuary is situated just 13 miles from Junction 30 of the M5 on the A3052 between Sidford and Seaton. On leaving Sidford follow the brown tourist sign at the top of the hill. The A35 and the A30 also serve East Devon and the Jurassic Coast.

The sanctuary’s car park includes a coach park lane with parking for 3 coaches, with drop off outside the main walkway to the entrance (both ramp and stairs). Group visits need to be booked in advance.

There are also 14 disabled parking spaces to allow accessibility to the sanctuary for wheelchair users.

There are two free electric car charging points, which you can use by requesting a free one hour token from the Visitor Centre.

Public Transport Directions

Bus stops are located within easy walking distance for the following services: 899 Axe Valley Mini Travel, 9A (Exeter – Lyme Regis), 52 Exeter to Seaton.

The sanctuary is bike friendly and sits on Route 2 of the National Cycle Network. The route between Sidmouth and Lyme Regis passes Trow Farm on Dunscombe Lane. Continue on Dunscombe Lane, crossing over the roundabout, until you reach the sanctuary's main visitor entrance. There is a bike rack (uncovered) at the main entrance.

The sanctuary is located along the South West Coast Path between Sidmouth and Branscombe. At Weston Mouth, follow the steps north towards the sanctuary where you will see the National Trust's interpretation of the Weston Potato Plats.
