Haldon Forest Park is made up of 3,500 acres of woodland, just 15 minutes from Exeter. Open 364 days a year, it’s the perfect place to immerse yourself in the great outdoors. With miles of trails for walkers, runners, cyclists and horse riders, there’s something for everyone at Haldon Forest Park. Enjoy expansive views, exhilarating mountain biking, tree top adventures and orienteering courses. What will you discover?
Walking
Whether you’re looking for an easy-going trail for all abilities, play and adventure for the children or peace and quiet to observe the wildlife, we have a trail for you.
Cycling
Head out onto trails to suit all abilities and improve your technique on the Skills Area and Pump Loop.
Tramper hire
Explore the forest with family and friends using our all-terrain mobility scooters. Visit countrsidemobility.org for more information or call 0300 067 5826 to book.
Play
The whole forest is a playground but, if that’s not enough, we have play areas, a Discovery Trail packed with play features plus our popular Zog activity trail to enthral young visitors.
GoApe

Nordic walking
A low impact way to boost your fitness in the forest. Visit nordicwalkingdevon.co.uk.
Horse riding
Miles of forest tracks and designated parking for horse boxes. Contact haldon.rangers@forestryengland.uk for access.
Forest Cycle Hire
Bikes available to suit the whole family, including tag-a-longs, child seats and mobility trikes. Guided rides can be arranged. Call Forest Cycle Hire on 01392 833768.
Cafe
Relax and refuel at The Ridge Café with a selection of homemade light bites and delicious cakes.
Segway

Orienteering
Test your map reading skills with graded orienteering courses for all levels of experience.
Located just off the A38, follow the brown signs for the forest park.
