There are restaurants, cafes and street food serving good vegetarian and vegan food all over Devon.
The vast majority of eateries will of course offer a choice of dishes for vegetarians and vegans, and these will often be made using local produce - and sometimes produce grown in the restaurant's own kitchen garden.
However, in recent years we've seen the growth of a number of cafes and restaurants specialising in vegan and/or vegetarian food. Perhaps best-known of these is Riverfield Field Kitchen in South Devon, a top-flight but laid-back restaurant that, though not restricting itself to vegetarian food, focuses on its own-grown produce as the star of every meal.
