Summer in Devon is a magical time – whether you’re coming for the day or you’re staying over, there’s so much to see and do, it can be hard to know where to start. Don’t worry though, we’re here to help!
Here are some of the things you can enjoy while you're here to help you build an itinerary for a memorable trip to Devon.
Let’s start with something traditional – every summer across the county you’ll find the annual regattas. The Dartmouth Royal Regatta is a three day event starting on 24th August and featuring a host of family friendly events and activities. Sidmouth Regatta takes place on 24th and 25th August and will include the usual Grand Firework Display. At the end of August is Clovelly’s Gig Regatta, which follows on from some incredible live music in their historic harbour.
Regattas are a staple of summer time in Devon and they run throughout the summer, so if you’re visiting a coastal town, look out for their local event!
